The Advantages of Investing in a Conservatory

Here at Fab Systems we have been supplying conservatories for a number of years, and although many consider it to be a significant investment, you won’t regret getting one, as you will have more living space and it will add value to your home. In addition to these advantages, a conservatory can benefit your home in a number of other ways.

Enjoyment of The Garden

You will be able to take pleasure in your garden without having to endure any of the cold weather of England. Relaxing in a conservatory allows you to take in the greenery all year long. Of course, it is important for you to maintain the temperature, which is why we recommend you invest in ClimaControlTM  glass for all year-round comfort. Our range incorporates three options for the roof, including ClimaControlTM aqua, which is the highest performing product in the market today.

Daylight and Night time Star Gazing

One of the most obvious advantages of one of our conservatories is the amount of light that it allows to enter your home. Getting plenty of light is great for your mood, when the weather is good it can provide essential doses of vitamin C.

Although many people use the top of their house for their personal observatory, many people use the comfort of their conservatory as a place for stargazing. By using an open glass space you can bring the heavens to you. It is recommended that you add lights with dimmer switches and specialist lights that will make it easier to see the stars.

In addition to relaxing in the conservatory, it is also the ideal place to gather round for a family meal. Rather than feel cooped up in the same room everyday of the week for food, it will make a refreshing change as you can enjoy the view for a Sunday lunch. There is also something magical about the ambience a conservatory provides at night, which will make an evening meal all the more enjoyable.

Worst Recorded Weather Conditions Sweep Across Britain

The British winter weather has recently taken a turn for the worst with uncharacterised torrential rains and strong winds sweeping across the nation. Latest statistics have indicated that an astonishing 1000 home have been evacuated in the Thames Valley and West Country alone. An overwhelming 16,000 homes were also left without power overnight as the weather deteriorated further with time.

Help teams have now been deployed by the Environmental Agency who are constantly monitoring the river levels across the nation. Weather forecasts predict conditions are set to continue as they currently remain and the river levels under scrutiny have been predicted to rise further. Thirty thousand sandbags have been made available to homes across Southern parts of the country to protect the houses against further damage from the gale force winds and torrential rain.

Figures recorded by the government weather set up, the Met Office highlighted that this year’s January is has received record-breaking amounts of rainfall to date. Statistics showed that 175.2mm of rain was received in January, beating the previous record of 158.2mm, which dates all the way back to 1918. Strong winds have also been recorded in some parts of the UK, with Wales receiving some power cutting, 112mph winds.

Despite not being a very coastally located area, Stoke-on-Trent was also affected by the strong winds and heavy rains.  The roof panel of a school that was blown off causing damage to local houses was the latest case in which the poor weather conditions have affected the area. A local fire service spokesperson stated that it was a ‘miracle’ that no was hurt in this incident. Some parts of Stoke-on-Trent have had power cuts and the Western Power Distribution has highlighted that it is working on restoring power to approximately 1300 homes across Staffordshire.

The aftermath of this situation is certainly going to be devastating. It is unfortunate that many people’s homes have been destroyed and thousands of Pounds are going to be spent to correct all the damage caused by this weather. For those living in the Stoke-on-Trent area, professionals like us at Fab Systems will certainly be available to your aid, to help you restore your damaged houses back to the welcoming way they were.
